I was looking for meaning of some fashion terms and was unable to find many terms all at one place.The information on the internet was very limited so I thought of documenting all the possible terms I can find which will be useful to all fashion enthusiast,students,professional as well as layman. So here are all possible terms I could find with the letter "A". I will be dedicating a blog for this project. If anyone feels I have missed any plz fell free to comment I shall be adding the same. This is just to help everyone and make things all at one place.

A-Line:
Dress with normal shoulder, slight flare towards the hemline, but without a waistline seam(Also knows as Shift or Skimmer)Abaya:
Abaya is a simple, loose over-garment, essentially a robe-like dress, worn by some women in parts of the Muslim world including in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
Anorak:
Pull-over jacket usually with hoot.Front neck opening may be closed with zipper or snaps.
Athleisure
A portmanteau of the words “athletic” and “leisure” make the most popular fashion trend that has been doing the rounds on the streets. Think yoga pants, grey sweatpants, sports bra, hooded sweatshirts, tank tops and lightweight trainers, this style is becoming bigger than a trend because it offers fashion fused with comfort an functionality. Models like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are the torch bearers of this buzzing trend. Luxe designs like Yeezy by Kanye West to the recent collaboration of PUMA with STAMPD, are jumping the bandwagon to make this trend a fashionable bash!
A-Line
An A-line silhouette, commonly seen in dresses, is the one that is fitted at the hips and gradually widens towards the hem, giving the impression of the shape of a capital letter A.
Accordion Pleat
A form of tight pleating which allows the garment to expand its shape when moving. Also called as the knife pleat, it is commonly used in skirts.
Argyle
An overlapping pattern made of diamonds or lozenges, adding a sense of three-dimensionality, movement, and texture. Typically, there is an overlay of intercrossing diagonal lines on solid diamonds. Originally derived from tartan of Clan Campbell, of Argyll in western Scotland, this pattern is most commonly seen on sweaters and socks.
Ascot:
Long medium wide to wide band collar with two ends brought to the front and looped over each other.
A decorative design made of one piece of fabric sewn on top of another. Borrowed from the French, this technique is used to decorate an aspect of a garment or product
Aviators
A style of sunglasses, originally developed in 1936 for pilots to protect their eyes while flying, is characterised by dark lenses which are two or three times the area of the eyeball, and very thin metal frames with double bridge and flexible nose pads.
Asymmetric styling
Designs in which each side of an item of apparel is different in structure than the other side. In a symmetrical design, both sides are the same. Asymmetry may be seen in areas such as collars, necklines, closings or hemlines.Ankle Pants:

Talking about fashion, it refers to something very innovative, eccentric, never seen before.
Its a color halfway in between blue and green.
